Comments and Reviews:
Acier Narrowboats are situated on theTrent and Mersey at King's Brombley Wharf near Lichfield, about half way between Fradley Junction and Rugely.

Sticking to the 93 miles of the  Trent and Mersey you would have a run either west to join the Trent and Mersey  and some delightful Staffordshire and Derby Countryside running down through Alrewas, Burton on Trent ( note Brewery) and beyond to meet the Trent and explore the waters of theTrent Valley.  Here you would have options of Nottingham and the ever picturesque River Soar on it's way down to Leicester.

Travelling east you would the longer run of the canal up to Preston Brook, passing Stoke Potteries, Harcastle Tunnel and the amazing engineering feat of the Anderton lift, with the option of a diversion up the ever pretty Macclesfield canal.

Leaving the Trent and Mersey central Birminham and the Birmingham Canal Navigations  are always worth a visit. Gas Street Basin  /  Worcester Bar is good for an overnight stay and the City Centre shops, with the Rag market  about 20 minutes walk for fresh fruit and veg , cheese and meat.

The Black Country Museum at Dudley should also be considered , especially if this is your first time out and of course Cadbury's World is also accessible from the canalside.

The Black Country Ring should be  feasible in a week, the Leicester ring possibly a bit longer depending on how many hours you are prepared to put in, taking a two week trip  would give you much mores scope making places like Tewkesbury possible, with the possiblity of  going down via the River Seven and returning via the Avon.

These are just examples there are many more options and the choice is yours.

If is always a good idea to dicuss routes with the people at the Marina before leaving, they will know the area and be aware of  other factors such as lock closures etc
